WebP to PNG with Transparency: Fix Website Graphics
WebP is great for Chrome and Safari, but try dragging a .webp logo into Adobe Premiere, Final Cut, or PowerPoint, and you might see an error.
These programs often demand PNG (Portable Network Graphics) for transparent images.
The Transparency Problem
If you just "take a screenshot" of a WebP logo, you get a black or white box behind it. You lose the transparency (alpha channel).
You need a proper conversion that respects the alpha layer.
How to Convert Correctly
- Use a Converter: Go to Image Format Converter.
- Upload WebP: Select your file.
- Choose PNG: Do not choose JPG. JPG does not support transparency and will turn your background white.
- Convert: The tool reads the alpha channel from the WebP and maps it perfectly to the PNG standard.
- Download: You now have a high-quality logo that works in any video editor or presentation software.
