Normalize MP3 Volume: Balance Your Playlist
We've all had that heart-attack moment. You're listening to a quiet classical track, you turn the volume up, and then the next song—a heavy metal track—blasts your eardrums out.
This happens because the files are not Normalized.
What is Normalization?
Normalization is the process of scanning an audio file to find its "Peak" (loudest moment) and raising the overall gain so that the peak hits a standard target (usually -1dB or 0dB).
If Song A peaks at -10dB and Song B peaks at -1dB, Song A will sound tiny. Normalization makes Song A louder to match Song B.
How to Fix It
- Identify Quiet Tracks: Find the weak links in your playlist.
- Boost Them: Use our Volume Booster.
- Target: Aim for a consistent level (e.g., usually a slight boost of 20-50% for older tracks brings them in line with modern pop).
- Save: Download the new version.
Now your road trip playlist will flow smoothly without you needing to be the DJ.
