HEIC is an image container. PDF is a document format. Why would you convert one to the other?
1. Professionalism
Sending a photo of a document looks casual. Sending a PDF of that same document looks professional.
2. Compilation
HEIC files are individual images. If you have 5 pages of a contract photographed on your iPhone, you have 5 files. Converting them to a single PDF creates one file containing all 5 pages.
3. Compatibility
Not all image viewers open HEIC. Every device opens PDF.
