Flip Image Horizontally: Fix Mirrored Selfies
Front-facing cameras (selfie cams) are designed to act like mirrors. When you look at the screen, you move left, the image moves left. It feels natural.
But when the photo is saved, looking at a "mirrored" textual logo on your shirt is weird. It reads backwards.
To fix it, you need to Flip It.
The Horizontal Flip
- Upload: Put your selfie in the Image Rotate/Flip Tool.
- Select "Flip Horizontal": This is different from rotating. It swaps the left and right pixels.
- Check Text: Does the logo on your shirt read correctly now? Does your hair part looks like it does in the mirror?
- Download: Save the corrected JPEG.
Artistic Uses
Designers often flip images to guide the viewer's eye. If a person in a stock photo is looking to the left, but you want them looking at your text on the right, just Flip It.
